Host a livestream

Planning on organizing a viewing party or community gathering to watch the Canadian Debate Production Partnership’s broadcast of the Federal Leaders’ Debate 2019?

Well, you’ve come to the right place!

The Leaders’ Debates Commission and the Canadian Debate Production Partnership are committed to making it easy for as many Canadians as possible to take part in this important democratic process. Public screenings of the debates are encouraged! Terms and conditions are set out in a term sheet linked below. We’ve carefully crafted these conditions to ensure the broadcast is delivered on a non-commercial basis and free of all advertising, and in order to ensure clear messaging around the spirit of these debates.

As you can imagine, we’ll be fielding a lot of public screening requests. So, in order to respond as quickly as possible, we’re making our term sheet easily accessible here on this site.

Download the term sheet.

So, you have the term sheet, what’s next? If you want to proceed, and are able to comply with our conditions, simply type in your information into the term sheet (the fillable fields are formatted in red text). Then print and sign the completed term sheet and return the signed copy through the submissions portal.

Help us keep track of your request by saving your signed letter with “Debates – Name of your Venue/City” in your file name (e.g. “Debates – Kamloops Public Library”)

So, you’ve read the term sheet and want to make a change. Due to the overwhelming response, we are unable to amend the term sheet. We think it’s fair that all screening organizers are bound by the same conditions.

Download the debate logo that you can use in your promotional material.

We wish you the best of luck with your screening! We hope every Canadian has a place in their community where they can gather together and take part in shaping the future of our Country.
